DSCN2856Two rain gardens were constructed to intercept and filter rain water before it enters Brickyard Pond. In recent years, the pond has seen an increase in algae due to excess nitrogen from neighboring lawns.

The Marshall Farms homeowners banded together and received government funding to do this project.  With design help from Ironwood design group the project was designed and installed within two months.

The plantings were installed on a beautiful fall day by neighborhood volunteers/residents.
