Bridgton’s downtown streetscape frames a vibrant amalgam of storefronts, eateries, offices, and residences. Located in the heart of Maine’s Lakes Region, the town is a popular summer and winter vacation destination. The one-mile stretch of Route 302 (Main Street) that runs through downtown is a throughway for large trucks and other vehicles. Ironwood Design Group led a team of civil and traffic engineers through a community outreach and master planning process and created a conceptual design that would make downtown a more pedestrian-friendly, attractive, and vibrant destination.
