Meadows at Grapevine Run | Hampton Falls, NH

Ironwood Design Group worked with Avesta Housing to design an affordable senior housing community in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire. The facility is located on a hill surrounded by wetlands and meadows. Ironwood provided recommendations on building placement that would maximize views and access to the natural areas while complying with local and state regulatory requirements. The plans include several miles of walking trails, gardens, sitting areas, an event lawn, and a community garden for residents. There is also a landscaped drop-off area and turn around.

Ironwood worked with the client, the developer, and various subconsultants to balance the town’s goals with development goals. For example, the entrance driveway is lined with Liberty Elm trees to support the town’s effort to plant 300 Elm trees by 2022. Ironwood also produced a series of renderings for the entrance signage that would comply with the town’s sign ordinance.
