Allied Tannery Redevelopment

Ironwood Design Group provided comprehensive conceptual design services to the City of Concord to create a vision for a former Brownfield that was once housed New Hampshire’s largest stone mill, a textile mill, and the Allied Leather Tannery. To further enhance the site’s value, the City purchased an adjacent 1.5 acres to develop a riverfront park, which became part of the Ironwood site design. Clean-up of the site has precipitated valuable enhancements to the Penacook Village Center, and has already generated new jobs and additional tax revenue. The City is currently seeking to identify a commercial partner for this parcel located on the picturesque Contoocook River.
