Woonasquatucket Adventure Park | Providence, RI

The Woonasquatucket Adventure Park Master Plan, located at the site of the former Lincoln Lace and Braid Factory that was destroyed by fire 20 years ago, embraces exciting elements and activities of an unconventional nature. Adjacent to the Woonasquatucket River Greenway, the new park’s program includes cyclocross trails, multi-skilled bicycle pump track with area set aside for adaptive bicycle skills, and a parkour course. The park includes several green infrastructure features to manage and treat stormwater, a picnic pavilion, gathering space, seating areas picnic area, and public art.

In 2016 the City of Providence was awarded an RIDEM Recreation Grant for design implementation of the Woonasquatucket Adventure Park master plan.
